“I’ve had the distinct privilege of witnessing the professional genius of the incomparable Alice Issac through a few events over the years: she helped produce my one-woman cabaret shows in Los Angeles, she accompanied me to my first ever red-carpet event where she showed me the ropes of Hollywood press, and in celebrating my upcoming nuptials she even coordinated the most epic and detailed High Tea Bridal Shower tailored just for me! So when my now husband Andrew and I hired Alice for our wedding scheduled for April 25th, 2020, we already knew that we were in the best of hands. But we soon learned firsthand just how insightful, sharp and connected she is to each part of creating a memorable wedding. Alice’s bar is always set at the rung of the utmost excellence, and she will not stop in attaining it for her clients. She took time to study us, to ask us questions we’d never considered, and get to know our style and desires for our big day. She guided us in everything from the date to our invitation design, from the guest list to my dress decision, from the unique dessert table to even our honeymoon details, from the custom florals to the bagpiper (yes, the bagpiper!). She’s got an uncanny ability to negotiate with vendors, helping us stay within budget, while providing them with the respect and value they deserve. She flew to Pennsylvania all the way from California 5 months in advance so she could tour our venue, meet various vendors and be as prepared as possible to make our day memorable for all the right reasons. She kept us on track with deadlines (trust me, we really needed help!), so that Andrew and I would be prepared well in advance, knowing that each of our careers & travel schedules can ebb and flow in intensity. She wanted to help us avoid stress and really enjoy the process.

We are EXTRA grateful for her vision in this especially because, as we all know, our world came to an unprecedented halt due to COVID-19. By mid-March, we knew we had to change course. As we mourned the loss of the day we’d been dreaming of for months, Alice helped us reorient and come up with a new and beautiful plan to be wed on April 4th, 2020 via Zoom with our pastor and guests, on the rooftop of what would become our first apartment together in NYC. She worked creatively and tirelessly with our photographer ALN Images to capture glorious shots through the other side of the Zoom screen. We are grateful for this idea of hers', as we now have priceless memories of our unconventional day! During the ceremony, Alice was guiding our only ‘guests’: two neighbors, who happen to be a bridesmaid and groomsman, texting them to correct camera angles and to fluff the train of my gown, so that we would feel taken care of and so that the guests would enjoy the most beautiful nuptials possible. There is no barrier or problem that Alice cannot troubleshoot. From 3,000 miles away, she also coordinated a day-of timeline for us, which was key in getting us to the proverbial altar. Even though she couldn’t be there in person, her guiding hand of expertise was there to move the day along. She checked in with me via FaceTime as I was getting ready, just like she lovingly would if she were in person.

I should also mention that the day prior we threw a virtual Rehearsal Dinner with our Bridal Party - behind the scenes, Alice communicated with each person and had our guys and gals send us video toasts in advance, so that we could feel as loved as possible. There were plenty of tears as a result of this meaningful gesture. This is a small example of Alice’s forethought and intentionality. She arranged the order of toasts and communicated with our families and Bridal Party so that everything ran smoothly. At our request, she prayed for us at the conclusion of the Rehearsal Dinner, which was deeply meaningful. We are grateful for her many generous hours on the phone throughout this entire process. When Andrew finally ‘kissed the bride’ (me!) the next day, she had all the guests un-mute and cheer for us so that we could feel the love and celebration of this peak moment. She made sure we had cake to feed each other, she helped my sister orchestrate a beautiful bouquet and matching boutonniere delivered by a local flower shop, and she even recorded various toasts made on our calls with our loved ones so that we’d have those memories to cherish forever.

Behind the scenes, she’s worked to honor our photographer for her stellar work, and has helped us share our story of joy and God’s faithfulness in this season through various media outlets! We are deeply thankful to Alice for going above and beyond her responsibilities as our Wedding Coordinator, and we can’t wait to continue working with her on our future in-person celebration which will, Lord-willing, be in 2021. She continues to go the extra mile for us as she re-coordinates with vendors and keeps our original vision intact for an event that we know will be memorable for all the right reasons! If you are looking for a Wedding Coordinator, and heck, even one who can do glorious Zoom weddings in these times, look no further: Alice is it. Her professionalism, extravagant intentionality, boss-lady integrity and joyful spirit have been a gift to us. Thank you, Alice! WE LOVE YOU!”
