Broadway star Amanda Jane Cooper and Andrew Bell made the best out of their canceled wedding. Cooper, 31, and Bell, 30, were supposed to get married on April 25 in Pennsylvania but moved their nuptials up to April 4 in light of the coronavirus lockdown so they could start their lives together.
So the “Wicked” star, who plays Glinda, and Bell, who works as the chief of staff for the urban investment group at Goldman Sachs, said “I do” over Zoom.
Having already said yes to the dress, the Broadway star was eager to wear her wedding gown, so her planner, Alice Issac of Alice Issac Productions, encouraged her to follow through with their original plan, just on a “new day, time and with some creativity!”

We have an exciting event spotlight for you today! Alice Issac of Alice Issac Productions has shared her DRESSEMBER event from December, thanks Alice!
DRESSEMBER is a nonprofit made up of gentleman and lady advocates who wear dresses and bow ties during the month of December to raise awareness and funds to end trafficking.
That’s where the motto, “A Dress Can Change The World” comes from!
They asked me to produce their first ever kick off fundraiser party that would feature a night of fun, fashion and of course, offering guests a way to partner in offering freedom to those being trafficked.
The DRESSEMBER brand logo is a hanger. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to incorporate a hanger into the décor!
While it was not a Christmas party, I thought a small nod towards the Christmas season would be appropriate.
I bought some plastic hangers and played around with the shapes they created when placed in different formations until I came up with these snowflake-like designs.
Zip ties held the 14 hangers in place and the gold spray paint made them look classy and polished! I used baby hangers to create different sizes and different large shaped hangers to create dimensions.
I created an outdoor marketplace where ethical brands could sell their goods and guests could get some early Christmas shopping done all while supporting a great cause.
The night included a fashion show of the 2016 DRESSEMBER Collection. (All hand-made by trafficking survivors).
We also had all of the usual party staples such as a photo-booth, dj, bar, catering, and step and repeat! I made a place for the great raffle and silent auction prizes as well.
When I was designing the part of the program where they extend an ask for donation, I learned that it costs $6,300 to save just ONE girl out of the sex trade. That’s when I decided there needs to be a tangible way for guests to partner to make a difference regardless their size budget. I thought in the same way that a great dress isn’t one size fits all but rather fits you perfectly, each hanger should offer pricing that can fit a wide range of budgets.
The hangers were broken down into $30 – $900 increments, each one meeting a specific need for the girl rescued to thrive and succeed after being rescued. To my joy, the rack was quickly cleared by generous empathetic guests! A girl will be gifted back her dignity and freedom through this event and the guests all went home feeling like heroes!

In today’s event spotlight, we are thrilled to share the experiences of Alice Issac of Alice Issac Productions as she carefully planned the METTA WORLD PEACE – Mental Health Talk event using AllSeated!
I KNEW AllSeated would come to the rescue when I got a call from Congresswoman Grace Napolitano’s office saying she wanted an event produced for Mental Health Awareness month. NBA Star Metta World Peace would be sharing his journey to mental health restoration.
Grammy nominated artist Crystal Lewis would be singing, the Kaiser Permanente educational program would be helping to lead with coping exercises for the 400 guests plus 12 Mayors from neighboring cities, representatives from the Army National Guard and others in attendance.
Media was going to be covering the event. Different vendors would need tables to feature their resources and the fire department truck would be present for the event as well!
The event took place at an airport hanger in El Monte. Once all of the planes were removed, the event space was a very large garage so I needed to create things like green rooms for our distinguished guests and staff plus a platform for our DJ and Media.
I had to design the room structure and build a unique stage that could accommodate the needs of everyone involved as well as determine where the vendors, restrooms, water station, security and check-in would best fit in the space.
I knew that in order for this event to be a success, I would have to start with the measurements of the airport hanger. This is when I became so grateful that AllSeated has custom options!
AllSeated was immensely helpful when it came to the accurate understanding of the dimensions I was actually working with, helping me to best maximize the space.
I took all of the details like pieces in a puzzle and watched it come together as I moved things around to find that perfect fit and flow.
AllSeated provided me with the convenience of not having to free-hand uneven proportions on paper but rather simply select and paste using colors, proper shapes, and even right down to the meticulous detail of how I thought it best for the chairs to be set.
In the last planning meeting before the event, the staff was so excited to see what the event would look like, thanks to AllSeated!
It was so fun to see the team’s reaction as I hit the 3D button and said, “Let me show you.”
