Can I get WiFi on board?

To keep you connected while at sea, all ships provide satellite internet access from bow-to-stern.

What kind of plans do you have?

Social Wi-Fi Plan:

  • This plan provides access to the most popular social websites and apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, and major airline sites.

  • It excludes access to most other websites, email, video, and music streaming services (e.g., Spotify, Netflix, Hulu), cellular-network-dependent Wi-Fi calling and FaceTime services.

Pricing Onboard: $25.00 USD per day

Value Wi-Fi Plan:

  • Access all sites included in the Social plan with a faster connection speed. Ideal for travelers who want to stay in touch via social media, manage emails, browse, and stay updated on news, sports, and weather.

  • It doesn't support video streaming or cellular-network-dependent Wi-Fi calling.

Pricing Onboard: $32.00USD per day

Premium Wi-Fi Plan:

  • Experience superior internet performance. This plan offers access to all sites from the Social and Value Plans at speeds up to three times faster. You can stream movies, video chat, monitor your home and browse the web seamlessly, including apps like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, FaceTime, Zoom, and Ring where coverage allows.

  • Cellular-network-dependent Wi-Fi calling is not supported.

  • Premium Multi-Device Wi-Fi Plan: Experience our fastest possible connection across up to 4 devices. This plan can only be purchased online prior to sailing for $90.00 USD per day and is not available onboard. The plan can be shared among guests in additional staterooms, not to exceed 4 devices.

Guests can upgrade from one plan to another and use multiple devices, per plan, including their smart phone or laptop, but only one device can be used at a time

What restrictions are there?

Please note that as our services are carried via satellite, there are a few limitations compared to your home network.

  • Sites blocked under the Carnival Fair Use Policy (adult content, violent content, etc.) will remain inaccessible under any plan or plan upgrade.

  • All plans support for usage on one device at a time.

  • Netflix and Hulu are supported, with individual subscriptions required.

  • iMessage is included in all plans.

  • FaceTime is available with both the Value and Premium plans.

  • VPN connections are not supported. Discuss your VPN limitations with your company’s IT department if you are planning to work while sailing. We are not able to change your settings on board

  • Pricing for plans purchased pre-cruise vary from plans purchased at time of sailing.

  • There will be no refund after plan is activated on board.

What are some tips to improve the experience?

  • To benefit from faster speeds, turn off background app data services and updates

  • Get the most from your cruise internet time and your trip — make sure you are powered up and prepared before you board the ship. Here are a few things you want to remember to pack for your cruise:

    • Wi-Fi enabled laptop and mobile devices

    • Power supply for each of the devices you are bringing with you

    • Data cables to transfer pictures

    • Headphones

Carnival Journeys Cruises

  • Carnival Journeys is a limited series of special cruises that's made to amaze... starting with great destinations and an exciting entertainment lineup. For a list of sailings, click here.

  • Each Carnival Journeys voyage will include some special shipboard activities to provide a truly unique vacation experience. These activities fall under three categories:

  • Academy of Fun | Shipboard Team Member Connections | Throwback Sea Day

Academy of Fun
Who knew it would be fun to learn while on vacation?  You will be invited to attend a series of enrichment courses designed to help expand your horizons such as photography, stargazing and social media – these are just a few types of classes you might find on board.

Shipboard Team Member Connections
Here, Carnival Journeys participants can learn more about shipboard life held at different times throughout the voyage.

Q&A Sessions
Love getting the 'inside scoop' about the shipboard cruise life from your favorite crew? This is your chance to ask our team members anything about anything and everything! Throughout the voyage there will be Q&A sessions to cover various topics from the following departments - Maritime, Hotel Operations and Entertainment.

50s Dance Class
Are you a dancing machine? Then swing down and get ready to bop, jive and boogie with our talented Playlist cast in a fun class for all levels! This activity is a crew connection with our onboard Playlist cast members. Once the dance is taught, the Playlist cast manager will select six couples who will receive private dance classes with our performers to learn a routine that you will perform in the ‘Back to the 50s’ show later on in the cruise.

Back to the ‘50s Crew Show
Swing into our one-of-a-kind show inspired by the Fabulous ‘50s and starring none other than your fellow guests and our crew as they rock, roll and sock-hop the night away!  The Crew Connections show is an interactive performance showcasing our singers and dancers and those guests that have been rehearsing all cruise long for the ‘big’ show. The show will also showcase some of the team members working on your ship.

At the Hop Deck Party
A continuation of the ‘Back to the 50s' show, it is themed around a 1950s Sock Hop. This party will include guest competitions and line dances.

Throwback Sea Day
We are throwing ourselves back to 1987. Throwback Sea Day will turn the ship around to the wonderful decade of the 80s. All of our activities for the day will be recreated to resemble the way they were played in 1987 including a version of the old style ‘Carnival Capers’, the 1987 version of the 'Fun Times' newsletter and now the HUB App.

Dive In Movies
Nothing better for an 80s-inspired Throwback Sea Day than some classic Action and Adventure flicks from circa 30 years ago. We have totally channeled that ‘Back to the Future’ vibe in addition to ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’.

Trivia 80s Challenge
Are you an everything-eighties expert? Put your knowledge to the test and join the Fun Squad as they take you through exciting trivia challenges! From sitcoms to dramas and everything in between, try our 80s-themed TV trivia and see if your rerun marathon days have paid off! AquaFrog Racing
One of the most exciting activities of the day. Purchase a frog, decorate them if  you choose and race them across the pool.

Captain’s Cocktail Party
Join the ship’s senior officers for an unforgettable fun evening - just like the Captain's Cocktail Party from the 80s, guests will be greeted at the entrance of the main lounge by the Captain, followed by music, dancing and the introduction of the Captain and his senior officers by your Cruise Director.

ONLINE CHECK IN

THINGS TO KNOW

We like all our guests to have fun and are committed to providing you a great vacation. Please take a few moments to review some important information and policies that we ask all guests to be familiar with.

Travel Documents & Personal Information
Proper travel documents are required at embarkation and throughout the cruise. While we will do our best to provide you with as much information as possible, you should always ensure that you follow all travel and documentation requirements for your cruise. Any guest without proper documents will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. Carnival assumes no responsibility for advising guests of proper travel documentation. Read more about travel documentation requirements here.

Online Check-in & Arrival Appointments
All guests are required to complete their Online Check-in and print the boarding pass and luggage tags no later than midnight prior to sailing. Opt-in for text alerts to stay up to date.

Please plan to arrive at the cruise terminal within your Arrival Appointment. Guests who arrive early will be asked to return at their assigned time. Unfortunately, we are unable to embark guests who arrive after final boarding time.

Liquor, Beverage & Prohibited Items Policies
Guests are not allowed to bring hard liquor, beer, or plastic/glass bottled beverages (e.g., water, sodas, and other non-alcoholic drinks) on board. Please review our Beverage Policy for more information.

All speakers (including Bluetooth, portable, and wireless types) and radios are prohibited and will be held and returned at the end of the cruise. For safety reasons, public announcements must be heard by all guests and crew. Consequently, guests must use earphones when listening to music or watching shows/movies on personal devices in public spaces. For everyone's safety, there are certain prohibited items that should be left at home. Prior to sailing, please review our Prohibited Items List.

Personal Safety
Although everyone's safety is our number one concern, all guests should take responsibility for their own personal safety. You're on a moving ship, so please hold on to handrails when walking around. When out on deck, be mindful of wet surfaces (especially by the pool area), always wear shoes/sandals and dry-off before enjoying any of our outdoor sports equipment.

The ship's officers are responsible for your safety and making sure everyone on board feels welcome under our "Have Fun. Be Safe." motto. Please direct any concerns to our Guest Services team so that those matters can be addressed promptly. The captain and our officers have the authority to enforce our policies and make decisions in order to provide for a fun and safe environment for all. Consistent with our commitment to safety, disruptive behavior is not tolerated and any guest whose conduct affects the comfort, enjoyment, safety or well-being of other guests or crew will be disembarked at their own expense and banned from sailing on Carnival in the future.

Mobility Devices
For the safety of all our guests and crew, mobility devices cannot be left in hallways or other public areas. Mobility devices must be stored in the guest's stateroom in a manner that does not block a clear and safe exit path from the stateroom. Unless you have reserved a fully accessible stateroom, mobility devices must be able to fit in a standard stateroom with a 22" entry doorway. Guests may be required to have their scooters sized at the time of check-in to ensure it fits in the stateroom. Scooters that do not fit in the stateroom will not be allowed on board. Should a guest be unable to make alternate arrangements to rent a smaller scooter or travel without it, he/she will be denied boarding and no compensation will be provided. Please review the Mobility Limitations Page for full details.

Items Overboard
Carnival is committed to protecting the environment so that generations of cruisers can enjoy the ocean and the beautiful destinations we visit. Please closely follow guidelines for recycling, both on and off the ship, and be mindful of items going overboard when on open decks or balconies. We are obligated to report any items going overboard, intentionally or not, so please advise a crew member should that occur.

Any willful or negligent act of discharging or releasing any unauthorized items overboard, without the express permission of the ship's staff may result in a $500 charge, per violation. Additionally, the reimbursement cost of Carnival property will be posted on the guest's Sail & Sign® account. Further, this may also result in the disembarkation of all guests in the stateroom. Please review our Items Overboard Policy.

Gratuities
It is customary for guests to extend gratuities to the shipboard staff in appreciation for their hard work and exceptional service. To help you plan, we have provided recommended guidelines. Please visit the Service Gratuities page for more information.
